National Parent Center Conference

April 2025 – Denver, Colorado

NCADEMI will have an exhibit table at the 2025 National Parent Center Conference in Denver, Colorado, April 8–10. We’re looking forward to talking with parents, caregivers, and Parent Center staff about the importance of advocating for the use of accessible digital educational materials by students with disabilities.

SXSW EDU

March 2025 – Austin, Texas

In March of 2025, NCADEMI attended SXSW EDU in Austin, Texas, and provided a workshop in collaboration with the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) and the Described and Captioned Media Program – “Tools for Teachers to Become Digital Accessibility Designers.”

For our presentation, we focused on some Do-It-Yourself Accessibility Basics to help attendees get started with accessibility.

Assistive Technology Industry Association (ATIA) Conference

January 2025 – Orlando, Florida

In January of 2025, NCADEMI attended the Assistive Technology Industry Association (ATIA) Conference in Orlando, Florida and provided two presentations—”More to the Myths & Facts: Let’s Talk About the Role of AEM in the 2024 AT Guidance” and “Navigating a New Landscape of Digital Accessibility Requirements in K-12”.
